Mr Leslie who was elected NZRU Vice President in 2005 was elected President at the NZRU Annual General Meeting in Wellington today. He takes up the post immediately. The 62-year-old Wellington rugby stalwart played 34 matches for the All Blacks between 1974 and 1976 captaining the side in all of his 10 Tests. After his playing days ended Mr Leslie continued to remain involved in rugby as a coach and administrator.
