Josh Cale forced his way through two tacklers for a try improved by Damien Quinn to give the Welsh a 6-2 at the break Carl Forbes kicking Town’s goal. Dexter Miller then pounced on a grubber kick to bring the visitors level. But two tries from Paul Ballard plus scores from Quinn and Tony Duggan sent Crusaders clear despite an Adam Sidlow try for under-strength Town. The win for the Crusaders at the Brewery Field saw them leapfrog over Workington and puts them third in the National League Two table.

Latham returns to Australian foldSaturday 23rd June 2007Australia have announced an expanded training squad for their Tri Nations clash with New Zealand in Melbourne including long term injury absentee Chris Latham. Latham has not played this season since suffering knee ligament damage in a pre-season training accident. The injury left the vastly experienced full-back requiring surgery and subsequently put pay to any hopes he had of playing in the Super 14. His inclusion is a huge boost for Australia ahead of the World Cup. Latham will look to prove his fitness this week leading up to the Test and hope he can reclaim his starting berth over the course of the Tri Nations.

The annual tournament will be staged from June 26-30 at the Friedkin Recreation Centre ground in Arusha. The Tanzania Rugby Union (TRU) Vice President Chris Hatt said the player withdrew because he was busy doing his businesses. “He has decided to quit at the moment. I hope he will make a comeback“ he said.
