The last two face off also next week in Abidjan. According to Paul Sigombe CAR competitions director the semi-finals and final will be played August 612. “Both the semis and the final will be played in one place which we shall decide after the final first round games are played next week” Sigombe said.

The appeal was against the decision of the independent Disciplinary Committee who heard a citing from the European Challenge Cup final against ASM Clermont Auvergne at the Twickenham Stoop on Saturday 19 May 2007 and found Mr Grewcock guilty of striking the ASM Clermont Auvergne No 5 Thibault Privat. The independent Disciplinary Committee suspended Mr Grewcock from Saturday 4 August 2007 up to and including Saturday 15 September 2007. This means that Grewcock would miss England’s crucial pool clash with South Africa.

Rugby: Rowlands quits as Black Ferns coach

Rowlands who guided the Black Ferns to a third consecutive world title at Edmonton in Canada last September is to be succeeded by his assistant Dale Atkins. Former Canterbury and New Zealand Maori player Dale Atkins will be assisted by former All Blacks second five-eighth Warwick Taylor.
