EA celebrates Rugby World Cup with release of Rugby 08

comElectronic Arts Inc. will celebrate the 2007 Rugby World Cup with the launch of EA SPRTS Rugby 08 the event’s only officially licensed video game featuring reigning Player of the Year Richie McCaw captain of the New Zealand All Blacks as its cover star. EA SPRTS Rugby 08 will ship to stores worldwide on the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system on July 17 in time for the real-world tournament kick off.

n the Sydney-Christchurch flight the pilot took much pleasure in welcoming the Springbok “A” team on board. It’s not clear whether the good pilot meant it as a joke or he was innocently reflecting what the local media had made the populace to believe it did not matter much to us. In fact everybody laughed the announcement off for various reasons. We have all regarded it as joke.
