'Neill said rugby league's willingness to change and improve its laws was an example to rugby union though Jones dismissed the comparison. “The game's not perfect but we'd be very very foolish to look at changing the game to make it like league” he said. “I love league I love watching league but I love watching union and I like watching all sorts of union. “As much as I love the way we approach our sport we've got to be careful we don't change the game just because we want entertainment.

Akron Rugby Prepares for Midwest Playoffs

EST ct 24 2007Looking to add another page in a storied history that began in 1971 the Akron Rugby Football Club is preparing for another playoff run. After another tough Fall of matches which saw them go undefeated in league play. Akron has collected it’s second consecutive Midwest Rugby Union Eastern Division Title. With that title they have earned the right to compete in the Midwest Playoffs as the #1 seed from the Eastern Division. Their undefeated record in league play also has locked down home field advantage for at least the first round of the playoffs.
