Robinson who retired after England lost the Rugby World Cup final to South Africa in ctober was awarded an BE or rder of the British Empire. A member of England's 2003 World Cup-winning squad Robinson made a successful switch from rugby league to rugby union. He played for rugby league club Wigan from 1991-99 making 302 appearances and scoring 184 tries. He also played 12 games for Britain. He won his first England cap in rugby union as a substitute against Italy in February 2001.

Mannix who left Gloucester in 2002 is currently coaching at French Pro2 club Racing Metro 92. “Rugby has really taken off and caught the imagination” Mannix told the Gillete Podcast. Despite a few technical glitches and the national team’s semi-final exit the World Cup assisted in spreading rugby throughout France. “It was a success maybe not for the French team because they didn’t win or perform very well but with the public” said Mannix.
