The month-long publicity drive will include Fire Flash television advertising and a Bluetooth marketing campaign in Cardiff City Centre on 9 February before during and after Wales?s first home game targeting the thousands of rugby fans who flock to the capital many of whom will enjoy a few drinks. The Bluetooth marketing team will also be distributing scratch-cards for a competition to win tickets to the Wales v France Six Nations rugby match. Fire Chiefs warn that even though this is a short but high-profile campaign the message should be clear all year round. Many fires are caused each year by people returning home from the pub and deciding to make chips or cook some other snack for themselves before going to bed.
