Independent Online – May 31, 2008
So I found it strange that our Minister of Sport would take a swipe at rugby concerning transformation. Rugby may be guilty of not wanting to change (but rather waiting for change to be forced upon it) but De Villiers has taken steps in the right direction especially with the Springbok team. The Bulldogs made a solid start with winger Heka Nanai bundled into touch by Melbourne fullback Billy Slater near the left corner post in the sixth minute. But once Storm skipper Cameron Smith powered over from dummy half in the 13th minute the result had a sense of inevitability about it.
