Air NZ changes rugby sponsorship
Stuff.co.nz New Zealand
A new three-year deal until the end of 2011 was announced today including continued sponsorship of the All Blacks Rebel Sport Super 14 (the New Zealand franchises and tournament) the Air NZ Cup and the New Zealand sevens team. However Air NZ general manager marketing Steve Bayliss said there would be some changes "consistent with the evolution of Air NZ's overall sponsorship strategy". While remaining a sponsor of the Air NZ Cup until the end of the 2011 season the company will not retain naming rights from 2010. Similarly while remaining a sponsor of the New Zealand sevens team from March 2009 the Air NZ branding would not appear on team apparel.

Despite the 191-point margin of victory Alcester would have had some way to go to beat the world record for a game of union.

In the other semi-final either Cardiff or three-time European champions Toulouse will be at home to the victorious team in the all-English clash between Leicester and Bath. The quarter-finals will be played on April 11 and 12 with the semi-finals taking place from May 2-3. This year’s final takes place at Murrayfield Scotland’s headquarters ground in Edinburgh on May 23.
