It’s been a problem. I know we have a lot of areas to work on but a lot of our boys are very disappointed on how we played. “Canada is 15th in the world rugby rankings while Ireland is fourth. The top 15 Irish players were either playing for their club team Leicester Tigers at the Heineken Cup or with the British and Irish Lions on tour of South Africa. That resulted in coach Declan Kidney’s team carrying 13 uncapped players on the 25-man roster six of them starters. “There was a lot of things in our performance we know we’d like to get better” said Kidney. “We were trying things that’s what pleased me.

CALEDNIA — Two seasons two state championships. West ttawa High School has fielded a rugby team for two seasons and Saturday at Davenport University the Panthers won their second Michigan Youth Rugby Association state championship. After winning the Division 3 state title last year West ttawa won the Division 1 state championship Saturday by beating Grandville in a tiebreaker. The Panthers and Bulldogs played to a 15-15 tie. The teams went to a tiebreaker similar to that used in prep soccer. West ttawa won 4-2 on 22-meter kicks.
