We have a game plan and we know what we’re supposed to be doing. About half of the current team resides in Danbury and many of the players are WestConn alumni. For the last 10 years they’ve been coached by Scott Maranich a Carmel N. resident who played rugby in college at Cortland State. After taking a job in the area Maranich saw a bunch of guys playing rugby after he finished playing a baseball game and decided to get back into it. “It’s definitely the most fun of any of the sports I’ve played” said Maranich who teaches physical education.
