BBC Sport
He told BBC Newcastle: "He’s a world-class player but in our situation we need all our players on the field. "ne injury has followed another and a change could do him a lot of good. " Wilkinson’s switch to French rugby comes after a career in which he won international and domestic honours on Tyneside. And Bates has paid tribute to his efforts with the Falcons both on and off the field. "Jonny has been fantastic. When he’s playing he’s a fantastic player but when he’s not he’s done a huge amount of coaching with kids and he’s brought on and really helped our young players" he said.

Can rugby league go any lower?
Batemans Bay Post Star
AFL?s Ben Cousins and Wayne Carey have had their fair share of the media spotlight in recent years. So too have the Broncos players. The question of whether rugby league?s image could go any lower has not just been centred on the revelations of incriminating behaviour of players in the past week. The question of whether the video referee?s viability in today?s games and the unbiased calls of on-field referees have also been in the spot light. And it?s not just footballers. Look at the scandal spread across the media of the Facebook photographs of our supreme swimmer Stephanie Rice when she let her hair down and dressed up in a skin-tight police woman?s outfit for a costume party. Why do we care what they get up to in their private lives? Decades ago we only cared about the scandalous affairs of movie stars such as Marilyn Monroe and James Dean (the ultimate on-screen and off-screen bad boy).

France play two Tests against the All Blacks in Dunedin on June 13 and Wellington on June 20 and one Test against the Wallabies in Sydney on June 27. Dupuy 25 is the newest addition to Marc Lievremont’s squad and should arrive brimming with confidence after helping his club to the English Premier League title last weekend. The former Biarritz player who won two French titles with the south-west club will also play in the European Cup final with Leicester when they face Irish province Leinster. Dupuy speaking from England admitted his call-up was the icing on the cake but for now he wants to stay focused on Leicester’s European challenge.
