The blindside flanker replaced Heinrich Brussow in the team announced Tuesday. Brussow stepped in for Burger and scored a try in his first start in last weekend’s 26-21 victory in Durban to give the world champions a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. But Burger returns to boost a Boks pack in Pretoria hoping to mark his first appearance against the Lions with a typically rampaging performance and a victory which would make the third test in Johannesburg irrelevant. “It’s nice to be back on the Springbok lineup again especially against the Lions and for my 50th cap” Burger said.
