Tuilevuka’s try in the 54th minute was the only one USA Rugby managed in regulation time Saturday in its 48-15 loss to Wales in an international test match at Toyota Park in Bridgeview where many of the 6264 on hand were clad in Wales red.

Elsom has not played test rugby for a year after leavingAustralia to take up an offer to play club rugby in Ireland. The combative flanker declared his availability last weekwhen he signed a two-year deal with the Australian Rugby Union(ARU) and coach Robbie Deans wasted no time recalling him forthe domestic internationals ahead. Elsom was picked to play for the Barbarians againstAustralia in Sydney on Saturday but pulled out because of aknee injury. The Wallabies won the match 55-7 and Elsom joinedthe Australians in camp on Sunday where he will undergo fitnesstests. “Rocky brought some scans with him of an old injury and hehas got a bit of bruising in the bone that may impact on hisavailability” Deans told reporters.

Queensland forward BenHannant picked up the virus after last Wednesday’s State ofrigin match against New South Wales in Melbourne and the teamdoctor had ordered players to be quarantined for 72 hourslocal media reported. Gold Coast Titans forward Ashley Harrison and St GeorgeIllawara winger Darius Boyd were also stood down by Australia’sNational Rugby League (NRL) from Monday’s match because theywere in a camp with Queensland last week. The NRL which administers the weekly club competition andthe representative fixture said neither Harrison or Boyd hadtested positive but had been stood down at the direction ofpublic health authorities. “We have spent considerable time consulting healthauthorities to ensure that we are following all proper advice”NRL chief operating officer Graham Annesley said in astatement.
